The Portly Gourmet

Good food doesn't have to be difficult…

Portly Drinks | Coffee in Italy

coffee-and-croissant

Coffee, along with Pizza, Pasta and Scooters it’s stereotypically Italian. Just look at the big chains like Costa and Starbucks selling the Italian coffee culture to us. I went to a proper Italian cafe/bar for breakfast the other day… you know when in Rome and all that.

In broken Italian I managed to get myself a cappucino and a pistachio croissant that was literally over-flowing with sweet nutty filling, it was magical! The price was pretty good too, my coffee and croissant came to €2 a bargain, specially for a Starbucks regular used to paying around £6 for my caffine and pastry hit.
