Smoked Mackerel Pate

Mackerel Pate

Pate is one of the easiest and quickest things to make personally my favourite is Chicken Liver Pate, but a close second is Smoked Mackerel Pate and it’s so easy to make! It makes a good lunch or afternoon snack and a perfect fuss free starter if you’re entertaining!

  • 2 Smoked Mackerel Fillets
  • 2 tbsp Crème Fraiche
  • 15ml Lemon Juice
  • Freshly ground Black Pepper

As I said this is seriously easy to do. All you need is the above ingredients and a food processor! Take the skin off the mackerel and break it into chunks then, chuck it the food processor. Add the rest of the ingredients and pulse until you get a coarse pate. If you like it smoother feel free to blend more, and that is it! Enjoy!
