The Portly Gourmet

Good food doesn't have to be difficult…

A Trip to The Whitsun Fayre

A bank holiday weekend! Who doesn’t love them, yesterday and went to Bury St Edmunds for the Whitsun Fayre.  There was plenty to look at and more importantly eat!  There were ‘posh’ burger producers, some jam and chutney people (like myself) notably The Jam Shed, their range of products is amazing!

For more on the go food there were some delightful Panko Sea Bass Wraps from Fish Burwell ltd, just the thing if like me you’re a little bored of seeing ‘a new twist’ on burgers, I have to say the one I had was wonderful.  Talking of wraps there was also The Duck Truck, their mission to bring you the most wonderfully seasoned crispy duck wrap there is around, they succeeded!

There were also producers of all kinds of food, one I really loved was Mena’s Indian Banquet, the onion bhajis were to die for! Finally, I finished my marathon meandering munch at the Woodbridge Confectionary Company with some of their delicate creations.
